Mental Health Counseling
My mental health counseling practice uses a developmental approach, meaning I consider how early experiences affect how we feel, think, and relate to others in the here and now.
Instead of focusing only on symptoms, this approach asks, “what do they need to grow?”
For children, therapy often uses play, movement, and creative activities with intention during the therapy process. For adults, a developmental approach helps make sense of patterns often shaped earlier in life - intentionally using expressive approaches to meet that person where they are.
Developmental approaches have been a fundamental component of my mental health counseling work across the lifespan.
